To capture a man such as Kirk Pengilly in a portrait is no small feat. He is much more than the guy from INXS with the glasses and the mo. The man has rocked it with the best around the globe and has spent a lot of time in the bright lights.
Away from those spotlights, Kirk experiences life in all its light and shade. Just like the rest of us, he finds moments in his life when he seems to walk a bold path, his direction sure, and all seems to flow. On other days, his path seems all jagged edges, threatening to pierce out of boundaries that restrict and constrict. The dichotomy of a life fully lived.
This is the portrait of the inexplicable intricacy of a human being, exposed to the world as he passes through life, carrying his baggage nicely wrapped in little bubbles of memory, of joy, love and pain.
