SPLAT! Splat-splat-splat!! Unleashing this beauty was loud and unexpected. From the humble beginnings as an inkling of excitement at the joys of an orange, inspiration sprang forth with wild abandon. I think the hardest part about being an artist is knowing how to get out of your own way and allow inspiration to freely flow.
I now realise that the second hardest part is knowing when to stop! These expressive bursts of colour are easy to lose yourself in; it’s addictive, the jubilation of releasing all barriers between the self and the Art, no brushes, no palette, just the free flow of the physical form becoming pure creative energy. My painting style has never been so loose, so fun, and my life has never been so happy…
