The night creeps it’s way ever closer to it’s decline. The fan ticks, lazy currents of oil paint and turpentine linger and float through air thick with patience, intense focus, inflaming the eyes, antagonising the nostrils. The coffee has long gone cold, the outside street heavily silent and deserted. As the enfolding night lingers, deeply pregnant with expectation, a higher power shares my brush, drags it’s rasping strokes across freshly primed canvas, pushes aside the mental miasma – and unleashes creation.
The truth of my soul finds a path to come forth, to be heard, at two o’clock in the morning when the doors are no longer barred. It is only then that I may find ‘ACCEPTANCE’, baring it’s tender, immaculate self for me to embrace. This aspect in all of us is waiting with infinite patience, for us to allow it to shine. How you find it is entirely up to you. Journey far and long my lonely friend. Leave behind the society that coldly crushes these gentle depths, turn your back on the voice in you that is just as brutal. Tame the beast, leave your job, burn your last bit of money, find your passion! Perhaps now, your journey as an artist begins.
