Welcoming Aadya – A new life chapter

Wow, it is hard to believe it has been three weeks since I closed the Gallery down prior to the birth of my daughter, Aadya Moonstone Trebilco…
Both Danielle and I have really appreciated the space and time from Gallery and public life. This has allowed us to get to know our tiny daughter that little bit more without the interruptions of everyday life and to give our full attention to this brief but precious time.

I’d like to thank everyone for the words of support, e-mails, texts and of course the online purchases and private viewings that have taken place while we spent time with our daughter. We are humbled and appreciative of your support as we start this new chapter in our lives….

Born: 15th March at 3:44pm
Weight: 3.255kg / 7 lb 3 onze
Length: 48.5cms HC 33.5cms

Origin: Sanskrit
Meaning: First Power

Aadya is the first power from which Hindus believe the five great elements(earth, water, fire, air, and space) originated. Aadya is another name for the Goddess Durga, a fierce warrior who encapsulates all of the universe’s material energy and is known for riding into battle on the back of a lion with a weapon in each of her arms.

The meaning of moonstone is in its energy – a very nourishing, sensual, deeply feminine energy that knows how to heal and bring you back to wholeness. It is the stone of the mother moon, deep healing waters and sacred feminine energies.
