Flawless finish to Trebilco’s artwork

QUALITY FRAME WORK PRODUCED FOR SOLITUDE ART GALLERYTo keep the Sunshine Coast artist Darren Trebilco in the zone, producing his unique original artwork in his beautiful studio. Darren chooses to out source his custom handmade stretched canvases and all of his timber frame requirements to two local and trusted professional artisans.

Darren will order ten or so canvases/frames to be custom made and delivered to the Gallery so to keep him following his passion. By doing this it frees Darren up from the manufacturing process, allowing the creative process to flow into his artwork.

Darren loves the texture and weight of the heavier grade double primed, acrylic, Australian cotton ten ounce or twelve ounce canvas. The double primer canvas is formulated to ensure maximum protection against any harmful or damaging impurities. Generally the higher the grade ounce of canvas will give the canvas a thicker weave to the cotton. This gives the artwork further strength and a stiffer working space for the artist to work on. I really do enjoy the thicker twelve ounce canvas which can be quite a bit more expensive and more effort to stretch over the frame. Though the quality and finished product is worth it in the end. Especially when the work is stretched over a large scaled canvas and also with the passion for paint that Trebilco has, the higher grade canvas also prevents sag when Darren throws his colourful magic around!
All of the custom canvases are stretched over New Zealand-grown radiata kiln dried pine. The pine is carefully managed and certified plantation forests to give the consistency, precision, strength and longevity and flawless finish to Darren’s artwork.
Once the canvas arrives at the Solitude Art Gallery in Glenview, Darren readily spends a couple of days in preparation for his new artwork. The canvas is applied to both sides of the canvas with a further primer to protect as well as thicken the canvas further to get the Trebilco quality he requires. The backs of the canvas also receive attention with the backs being painted in Darren Trebilco’s custom green treatment.

On completion of Darren’s beautiful artwork all artwork is named, signed and contact details added to the piece. Trebilco’s artwork is individually numbered to authenticate that you own an  original artwork by Darren Trebilco.
The artwork comes pre-strung with quality D-rings suitable for the size and orientation of the artwork. All artworks are clear coated either in a Matt or High Gloss finish to seal in Trebilco’s authentic flavour for years to come!
